Terms of Service
Terms governing use of genfourmarketing.com and engagements with GenFour Marketing.
Last updated September 2, 2026
These terms apply to your use of genfourmarketing.com and, together with a signed proposal or statement of work, to services provided by GenFour Marketing (“GenFour”). Where a signed agreement and these terms conflict, the signed agreement controls.
Use of the website
Content on this site is provided for general information and is the property of GenFour. You may not reproduce it commercially without permission. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but do not guarantee it is complete or current.
Services
- Scope. Every engagement is defined in a written proposal or statement of work that states deliverables, timeline and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it begins.
- Client responsibilities. Timely access to accounts, content, approvals and decision-makers is required for delivery. Delays caused by missing input extend timelines accordingly.
- No guarantee of results. Search engines, AI platforms and advertising networks are controlled by third parties. GenFour commits to a clear plan, disciplined execution and honest reporting, and does not guarantee rankings, citations, traffic or revenue.
- Third-party services. Hosting, domains, software subscriptions and advertising spend are billed by their providers and governed by their terms unless the proposal states otherwise.
Payment
Audits are billed in full before work begins. Website projects are billed 50% at signing and 50% at launch, or by milestone where specified. Growth partnerships are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due on receipt. Payments are processed through Stripe by card or ACH. Work may pause on accounts more than 15 days past due. Refunds are governed by the refund policy.
Cancellation
Growth partnerships may be cancelled by either party with 30 days’ written notice. Project engagements may be cancelled by the client at any time; fees for work completed to date are due and any deposit is applied to that work as described in the refund policy.
Ownership
On full payment, the client owns all deliverables created specifically for them: website code and design, written content, tracking configurations and documented workflows. GenFour retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, templates, frameworks and methods, and grants the client a perpetual license to use any that are incorporated into deliverables. GenFour may reference the engagement and non-confidential results in its own marketing unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other’s non-public business information confidential and uses it only for the engagement. Account credentials shared with GenFour are stored securely and revoked at the end of the engagement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenFour’s total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement in the preceding three months. GenFour is not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages, or for actions of third-party platforms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Disputes will first be raised in good faith with the other party; unresolved disputes are subject to the courts of Illinois.
